Willcox Playa Wildlife area
Playa means: flat-floored bottom of a undrained desert basin that becomes at times a shallow lake. It is the winter home for around 20,000 Sandhill Cranes. I asked where I could go so see the cranes and was told to just look up. (it is not that easy) Enjoy some of the pictures I took at the site. I went to Playa in the morning and again around 2 p.m. when the cranes came back from feeding. In the mean time I went to Chiricahua National Monument and Fort Bowie National Monument.
