Today I decided to go North of Gardiner, out of the park, to Natural Bridges in Montana.  I saw farm land and herd of deer that were eating alfalfa.  When I got to the Natural Bridge I found that the original had been eroded but a new one if being created.  If I could wait another  500 years I might be able to see it.

Day 4 North of Gardiner, Yellowstone river
On the way to the natural bridge, I ran across this herd of deer.  The road was so narrow I had to take the pictures from my car.
The Natural Bridge is best seen when the water is high, which is not now.  Good hiking and great pictures.  The Natural Bridge was destroyed in 1998.  Here I hike but there were other people on the trail also and I am sure I was faster than they were :-).
The Boulder River is a tributary of the Yellowstone River, approximately 60 mi (96 km) long, in south central Montana in the United States. It is one of two rivers named the Boulder River in Montana.
It rises in the Gallatin National Forest in the Absaroka Range in southern Park County. It flows north through mountainous canyons, a cataract under a natural bridge, and northwest in a widening valley past McLeod. It joins the Yellowstone at Big Timber. The landscape of the Boulder River and river valley has merited the filming of two movies: A River Runs Through It and The Horse Whisperer
